Russian Napoleonic Generals (for a friend)
Finally, a return to historicals! Napoleonics, even – the first historical era I started collecting. My chum Alex is hard at work on a Russian army for the late war, and while he’s slaving away at the rank and file he has given me a few packs of the more eye-catching models. Mostly generals, but some artillery too.
I have always admired these Perry figures, as they’re just so characterful. Fat Kutuzov having a prolonged sit and the rest of them milling about him… Superb stuff!
Alex asked me to glue them to a total of three round bases which he is going to finish. The brief was to create some believable vignettes with these clumps of models, which I think I managed fine. It’s easy with the expressive poses of these models!
More of the Russians are on the way, so stay tuned. More ratty things, too!
